Pomcor is the registered trade name of Pomian & Corella, LLC. We conduct research in mobile and Web technology, currently focusing on applications of cryptography and biometrics to identity proofing and user authentication. Our mission is to identify shortcomings of current technology and provide innovative solutions that advance the state of the art.
Pomcor was founded by Karen Lewison and Francisco Corella. Karen Lewison passed away while she was CEO of Pomcor.
Key personnel
Francisco Corella, CEO, has a PhD in computer science from the University of Cambridge, a MS in computer engineering from Stanford University, and an engineering degree from the Ecole des Mines de Paris. He co-founded Pomcor and served as CEO in its early stages. Prior to Pomcor he worked as a manager at Symantec, as a researcher at Schlumberger Palo Alto Research and the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, and as an engineer-scientist at the Unix laboratories of HP. He is an inventor with seventeen patents granted and several pending, a majority of them related to cryptography and cybersecurity.
Ken Cone, CFO, has served as a CPA and financial adviser in a variety of industries. He has provided business and tax advice and is familiar with government contracting in the defense industry. He has experience with tax preparation services for private enterprises and complex individuals.

Marc Friedmann is a chief executive officer experienced in starting, building and funding software, data/telecom/storage networks and semiconductor companies. He is Founder of Software Business Advisors, partner at DaggerBoard Advisors, and Entrepreneur in Residence at Connect Springboard. He was CEO of SciVee, CEO of Syntricity, Vice-President at EMC, and Founding CEO of Prisa Networks.
Steve Ricketts spent his early career in New York and San Francisco in investments and finance with Blyth Eastman Dillon and Bechtel and as V.P. Manager of Financial Analysis for Wells Fargo. He then relocated to the Sierra Foothills and, for over 35 years has directed strategic growth and bottom-line results as a consultant and key advisor to entrepreneurs in a wide variety of industries. His expertise includes corporate finance and investment banking with emphasis in equity/debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, due-diligence, financial modeling and analysis. He has been an officer and/or director of more than 25 companies, and an advisor to more. He holds B.A. and M.B.A. Degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. Steve is an avid hiker and nature enthusiast, and greatly enjoys his role as “Papa” with his grandchildren.
Steven E. Williams is a certified software engineer as well as a notary instructor within the State University of New York (SUNY) system. His current research is focused on notary services, electronic notarization, identity, blockchain and regulatory compliance. He resides in upstate New York.
Nathan Schor is a successful entrepreneur, marketing expert and startup mentor with a particular interest in Internet Identity. He is currently marketing mentor at Founders Space and marketer-in-residence at Parisoma, in San Francisco. He is the founder of the Resource Center for Scientific Marketing (www.rcsm.io). He regularly participates in the Internet Identity Workshop and has organized a pitch to investors at the workshop. He was Founder and President of the IDON group, an early offeror of sales force automation solutions to small and medium businesses and to world-class organization such as the US Department of State, Prudential Insurance, and Zurich Financial Services.
